I love how sharp this is, the background could have been blurred a little, the "verticals" are nice, but the composition looks like a dad angle, are you a dad now? To tight maybe, shoot landscape? Colours are awesome two!
A wide aperture of f2.8-f5.6(higher shutter speed because more light is hitting the film/sensor) will give a softer out of focus background. If you shoot at a small aperture of f16-f22(slower shutter speeds because the hole is smaller and less light is hitting the film/sensor) the background will be more in focus.
yeah, i was trying to get the background blurry. i still am confused by all the numbers. i was shooting at 2000, and f16...or somewhere around there. it's starting to make a little sense.

smaller apetures will also incease cloud detail, no?
It gives almost everything in the image detail so the clouds should have more detail especially if you meter for the sky.
